MEMBERSHIP

 

The Building Industry Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania is the place to be if you are serious about being successful in the local building industry.

 

As a member of the BIA of Northeastern PA, you automatically become a member of both the Pennsylvania Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.  These organizations assist members through a variety of educational and discount programs.  The information received from these organizations is just not available any place else!

 

The BIA of NEPA supports educational, political and community-service programs of many kinds.  Our members monitor and support assembly members as appropriate and serve on the Board of Directors of other groups such as the Chamber of Commerce, Luzerne County Housing Partnership and Governmental Affairs.

The investment of each member company pays is really and investment in keeping the local building industry strong.  Actively involved members find that their association dues pay dividends many times over!

BUILDERS & ASSOCIATES

 

Making the commitment to join the “Building Professionals” is one of the smartest things you will ever do for your business.  Builder memberships are available to all builders.  Suppliers and Subcontractors also benefit from becoming associate members of The Building Industry Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Here’s just a sample of all the great programs available to you

                  Members are constantly updated on what is happening in the local                   building industry, as well as the industry on a state and national level.

                  The Association is very pro-active in making sure that the needs of the                   building industry are always presented to our government officials.

 

EDUCATION

                 

Regularly scheduled educational programs and seminars will keep you up to date on the important changes in the industry.  An achievement award of up to $1,000 for two years for any student interested in coming into the building trades.  This can be used for education or the purchase of tools.

 

PROMOTION AND COMMUNITY RELATED BUILDING MATTERS

                  Builders Home Show, giving builders a unique opportunity to showcase                   their talents.  Girl Scouts, Camp Kresge and other community related                   opportunities.

 

CONTRACTS AND GUIDELINES

                 

The Association has designed standard contract forms for both new homesand remodeling projects.  These contracts help protects members from potential problems arising from working without a contract.  In addition, the Association adheres to the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines for Professional Builder & Remodelers, published by the National Association of Home Builders of the United States. A copy is kept in the Associations library.

 

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

                  With 470 plus company members, you simply cannot find a better                    opportunity to introduce your company’s products and services to local                    building professionals and other associates.

 

ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES

                  The Association’s newsletter reaches all of the major decision makers in                    he local building industry.  The association membership roster is also a                   great place to promote your company!

 

ANNUAL HOME SHOW

                  Our Home Show is the best local show around, and a great opportunity              to introduce the general public to your company’s goods and services.

 

MONTHLY DINNER MEETINGS AND SOCIAL EVENTS

                  General Membership Meetings, a Golf Outing, Annual Clam Bake,                   Annual Legislation Night and the Annual Installation Dinner Dance give                   members a great opportunity to meet each other personally and do                   business in a friendly atmosphere.
